2021 Fall Legal Meeting

LOCATION:
Registration is now open for NCHER’s Fall Legal Meeting, which will be held on Thursday, October 21 in Nashville. The meeting will be held at the offices of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, located downtown at Roundabout Plaza, 1600 Division Street, Ste 700, Nashville, Tennessee.

COVID-19 Protocols will be followed within the Bradley Arant Boult Cummings office. A symptom form will need to be completed upon entry by each attendee. Masks are highly recommended when walking around and required when social distancing is not possible. The proper use of hand sanitizing will also be encouraged.
AGENDA/TOPICS:
The agenda for the meeting is now complete and includes sessions on: state lending and servicing laws (including preemption); privacy and cybersecurity; developments in the financing of FFELP and private education loans; an overview of activities of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; an update on debt collection; and more. All these sessions should be of interest to private student loan participants and valuable to attorneys and non-attorneys alike. NCHER will provide a certificate of attendance for CLE purposes.
VIRTUAL OPTION:
For those of you not comfortable attending the Legal Meeting in-person, a basic virtual option with limited interaction will be provided. Additional details will be provided closer to the event. If you are interested in attending in-person or virtually, please register online and select the option of your choice.

Payments: Once your registration has been received, NCHER will send you an invoice with a link to provide payment. The invoice will be sent within 48 hours of receiving your registration.
NCHER registration fees must be paid prior to attending the meeting. Should the registration fee remain unpaid 30 days after the meeting concludes, a 2% per month late fee will assessed.
